FAQS

What is Lily’s Promise?

Lily’s Promise is a family-owned assisted living provider offering personalized care in beautiful residential homes throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Our residents enjoy the comfort of a real home while receiving professional assistance and support tailored to their individual needs.

How is Lily’s Promise different from a large assisted living facility?

Unlike large facilities with dozens or even hundreds of residents, our homes serve only a small number of residents. This allows us to provide highly personalized care, build meaningful relationships, and create a warm, family-like atmosphere where residents are truly known and valued.

Why choose a residential care home instead of a large assisted living facility?

While larger assisted living communities may serve dozens or even hundreds of residents, Lily’s Promise offers a more intimate, personalized approach to senior care.

Our residents live in real homes located in residential neighborhoods, creating a familiar and comforting environment that feels like home—not a facility. With fewer residents, our caregivers have the time to truly know each person, understand their preferences, and build meaningful relationships.

Families often tell us they appreciate:

  • Personalized, relationship-based care
  • Consistent caregivers and low staff turnover
  • A quiet, home-like atmosphere
  • Higher caregiver-to-resident ratios
  • Awake overnight staff for added safety and peace of mind
  • Greater flexibility in daily routines
  • Easier communication with caregivers and management
  • A strong sense of family and community

For many seniors, especially those who value comfort, familiarity, and personal attention, a residential care home provides a level of warmth and individualized care that can be difficult to achieve in a larger setting.

At Lily’s Promise, we believe exceptional care begins with genuine relationships—and that’s exactly what our small-home model was designed to provide.

What services do you provide?

We assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, medication management, mobility assistance, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and coordination with healthcare providers. Care plans are customized to each resident’s needs.

Who is a good fit for Lily’s Promise?

Our homes are ideal for seniors who would benefit from assistance with daily activities, companionship, medication support, or a safer living environment. Many families choose Lily’s Promise because their loved one no longer thrives living alone but does not want the institutional feel of a large facility.

Do you provide memory care?

Yes. Our team has extensive experience caring for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. However, we proudly serve seniors with a wide variety of care needs and are not exclusively a memory care provider.

What is your staff-to-resident ratio?

Our small-home model allows for exceptional staffing ratios. During the day, we maintain approximately one caregiver for every three residents, ensuring personalized attention and prompt assistance when needed.

Is staff available overnight?

Yes. We have awake overnight caregivers who monitor residents, provide assistance as needed, and help ensure safety throughout the night.

Are meals included?

Absolutely. Residents enjoy home-cooked meals, snacks, and beverages daily. We can accommodate many dietary needs and preferences.

Can residents bring their own furniture and personal belongings?

Yes. We encourage residents to personalize their rooms with furniture, photographs, and cherished belongings to help make their new home feel familiar and comfortable.

Can family members visit?

Of course. Families are always welcome and encouraged to remain actively involved in their loved one’s life. We believe strong family connections contribute to a resident’s happiness and well-being.

Are your homes licensed?

Yes. All Lily’s Promise homes are fully licensed Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) by the State of Florida and operate in compliance with all applicable regulations.

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies based on room selection and individual care needs. We would be happy to discuss current availability and provide a personalized assessment.

Do you accept Medicaid?

Please contact us directly to discuss current payment options and determine what programs may be available.

How do I know when it’s time for assisted living?

Common signs include medication mistakes, falls, difficulty preparing meals, loneliness, declining personal hygiene, frequent hospitalizations, memory concerns, or increased caregiver stress. We are happy to provide guidance and help families determine whether assisted living is the right next step.

Can I tour the home?

Absolutely. We encourage families to visit, meet our team, and experience the Lily’s Promise difference firsthand. Tours can be scheduled by calling us directly at 941-926-5459.
